“Spring Cleanup” Community Document Shredding Day

Protect Your Identity; Protect the Earth,
The New Milford Rotary Club's "Spring Cleanup" Community Document Shredding Day
set for Saturday, May 3, 2014

The Rotary Club of New Milford in partnership with Secure Eco Shred, Inc., will host a 'Spring Cleanup' Document Shredding Day open to the public, on Saturday, May 3rd 2014 in Lore's Plaza parking lot on Route 7 (across from Arby's) from 10:00 am to 1:00pm.

If you missed Rotary Club's Document Shredding Day last year, this is another chance to provide consumers and businesses the opportunity to clear out their home and office by having their confidential documents shredded by Secure Eco Shred's massive mobile shredder. The public is invited to bring boxes of documents, old papers, pay stubs, receipts, bank statements, invoices, cancelled checks, tax forms, medical records, credit card statements, old bills, etc. No need to remove staples or paperclips. Drive up...and it's shredded while you watch. It's that easy!

No appointment is necessary. There is no limit to the number of boxes brought to be shredded.
Open to residents of all towns.

Assistance will be available to help unload boxes. Staff from the shredding company will handle the documents and will shred them while you watch. The mobile on-site document destruction process is efficient and quick. What could take many hours to shred at home can be shred on-site in minutes. The shredded material will then be recycled.

Last year approximately 12,000 pounds of paper was collected and shredded which was recycled into paper products. This prevented over six tons of paper from being added to the landfill and translated into 130 trees that did not have to be cut down.

The cost is $10.00 per standard copy paper-type box (larger boxes slightly higher). All money collected will be donated to the New Milford Rotary Club and will be used within the community to help senior citizens, schools, scholarships, environmental and other local projects.

For information or if you have a large number of boxes, call 860 350-2225.
