What To Do This Fall in Central CT

The Central Regional Tourism District has collected a bunch of fall- and Halloween-themed activities coming up all around the center of Connecticut. Here are some of their picks:

Ghosts of New Haven Presents: A Haunting In Connecticut (New Haven and Wallingford)

Experience an evening of ghost storytelling as you embark on a 90-minute tour through mysterious locations.

Spirits at Stowe: An Otherworldly Tour (Hartford)

The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center hosts "Spirits at Stowe" flashlight tours, featuring an interpreter who tells stories about Stowe and unexplained events from the past and present.

The Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce (Bristol)

It's the largest and scariest event in New England! See how the entire Lake Compounce park is transformed into a haunted graveyard at dusk.

Wadsworth Haunted Halloween Party (Middletown)

Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy a night full of specialty drinks, food, dancing, door prizes and more. The event will take place on Friday, October 31 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. Be sure to buy yourtickets before the event as tickets will not be sold at the door.

Haunted Miniature Golf (Farmington)

Mini golfing just got more fun and spookier than ever! The Annual Haunted Miniature Golf event returns to Farmington Miniature Golf & Ice Cream Parlor.

The Center of CT website has a full list of Ghost and Haunted Tours, including events at Hartford'™s Mark Twain House and Cedar Hill Cemetery and West Hartford'™s Noah Webster House. They also recommend foliage tours on the Essex Steam Strain and River Boat, the River Quest, and the Lift Ride at Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort.
