NORFOLK, Conn. – The Norfolk Curling Club will host a wine tasting on Saturday, November 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 at its new facility at 70 Golf Drive, Norfolk, CT. The “Wine on Ice” event is a public fundraiser for the Club, which is “Back on the Ice” following an arson fire that destroyed the original facility in December of 2011. The not-for profit organization underwent a complete rebuilding of its facilities “From Fire to Ice” in 2012 and 2013. While the Club enthusiastically reopened its doors in November of 2013, it still has outstanding loans.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Advance tickets are available via PayPal at NorfolkCurlingClub.org or by calling Caryn at 860-922-2057.
“This is a great opportunity for people to taste a varied selection of fine wines going into the holiday season – whether it's for their own parties or gift giving. We'll also be providing hors d'ouevres and guests can watch live curling and mingle with our members to learn more about the sport of curling,” said event chair Caryn Trager.
A portion of all proceeds will support the Norfolk Curling Club, a not-for profit organization in its mission of promoting the sport of Curling.
