Meet Scout And Help Out On Saturday!

On Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., we will be holding a Volunteer Day to help re-do the fencing in our ring. Our ring is an important part of the farm.  We use it not only to introduce our adoptable horses to the public but to train and exercise our horses as well.  It's time to replace some of the fencing and we need your help.

Please bring your own tools if you have them. Lunch provided. Rain date is Sunday, November 2.

We're offering a tour at noon to introduce everyone to our newest arrival - Scout.  He's a premarin baby who has been diagnosed with EPSM, a muscle disease.  Since arriving at the farm, he has gotten shoes put on, been evaluated by two of our vets and is just starting to work.

Scout is looking for several sponsors to do his hand walking exercises daily.  He has to walk over ground poles in the ring, and walk up and down the trails. He is very quiet and easy to work with, and LOVES peanuts and alfalfa cubes!

We will also be holding a Tack Sale from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in our new shed built by long-time volunteer Bob.  You can find everything from helmets and boots to halters and jackets.  Come and check it out!
