British New Wave Rockers The FIXX bring their ‘80s hits to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, September 2

Relive the early days of the MTV era when The FIXX makes their only Connecticut tour stop at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, September 2, at 8 p.m. Featuring original band members, fans will hear their staple ‘80s hits “One Thing Leads to Another,” “Saved By Zero,” ”Are We Ourselves?” and “Secret Separation” in addition to new songs. The night starts off with Father Jones – a hard rocking local punk band! Before the show visit Dog and Pony (378 Main Street, Ridgefield) for dinner and enjoy a complimentary glass of house wine or draft beer with your entree when tickets are presented! An AllShows.com VIP Party Pass ($25 addt'l per person) is available by calling the box office at (203) 438-5795 and includes priority parking and open bar from 6:30 - 7:15pm. Media sponsor is 95.9fm The Fox.

The FIXX’s early MTV Video hits (also in the Top 20) include "Red Skies" and "Stand Or Fall." FIXX Mainstream Rock chart hits are "Driven Out" and "Deeper and Deeper," the latter of which was featured on the soundtrack of the 1984 film Streets of Fire. The latest and tenth studio album for this English rock and new wave band is Beautiful Friction. Not sixty seconds into Beautiful Friction and it is clear; the haunting guitar of Jamie West-Oram, expressive synth of Rupert Greenall, pounding bass of Dan K. Brown, steady beat of Adam Woods and unforgettable vocals of Cy Curnin add up to the undeniable sound that could only be The FIXX. Curnin calls this current evolution of The FIXX “a fine wine that has aged well in the bottle. I love being in this band. It’s my therapy. You can take everything away from me, but no one can take away the relationship and creativity that flows between the five of us.” Apart, you couldn’t refute their talent, yet it’s together that they shine. Together, The FIXX has an incredibly strong voice, strong legacy and strong future.

For tickets ($38), call or visit the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse, (203) 438-5795. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT; ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
