CT DOT Announces Public Hearings in Regard to Proposed Bus & Rail Fare Increases

Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced that there will be a series of public hearings around the state regarding DOT's proposed bus and rail fare increases.

For rail services, the proposed increase would take effect December 1, 2016, on the New Haven commuter rail line and Shore Line East. For bus services, the proposed increase would take effect on December 4, 2016, for CTtransit and CTfastrak buses.

The comment period closes September 15, 2016. The public hearing locations and times are as follows:
