From Danbury to New Jersey: Melanophy Headed to Jets Camp

Former Danbury Hatter Brendan Melaophy has received an invite to Jets rookie camp, according to a Fordham team source.

The 6’ 1” Strong Safety tallied two interceptions and 41 tackles last year for the Fordham Rams, and impressed several NFL scouts with a great pro day at Rose Hill. The New York Jets lost both of their starting safeties from last year and are looking for players to fill the gap left behind, so there will be optimism as Melanophy heads to Jets camp in May.

He’ll join teammates Patrick Murray and Lloyd Morrison, who also received invites. The Rams have a total of five graduating seniors headed to rookie camps.
