Collin – Beautiful Baby of the Week
I am happy to honor adorable Collin and his parents for supporting my efforts to help our nation’s wounded vets by entering his photo in the Beautiful Baby Contest every year. Collin has come in second, third, and fourth. Will his fourth year be the charm for this delightful young man? The contest is for children newborn-four-years of age, and the child not need live in Newtown to enter or win.
The entry fee is a $10 donation to Homes for our Troops, a nonprofit that builds custom handicap houses for young veterans returning with life-altering injuries. A child’s photo is posted on a voting booth, and the public and friends vote with dollar bills for the cutest baby. The child whose photo raises the most amount of money wins the title.
100% of the funds raised by 2016’s contest will be earmarked for handicap house being built in West Haven, CT for an Army Ranger who is now paralyzed.
