Women's Center Volunteers Needed

Help to end the violence!

The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury is now accepting applicants for Spring Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Direct Service Training.

Volunteer Training Dates:

 Tuesday, 5/30, Wednesday, 5/31, Thursday 6/1;  6:00pm - 9:00pm

Saturday, 6/3;  9:30am - 5:30pm

Monday, 6/5, Wednesday, 6/7, Thursday, 6/8;  6:00pm – 9:00pm

Saturday, 6/10;  9:30am – 5:30pm

Monday, 6/12, Wednesday, 6/14, Thursday, 6/15;  6:00pm – 9:00pm

Saturday, 6/17;  9:30am – 4:30pm

 
 

Volunteer opportunities include:  

• hotline crisis intervention (on-site or from your home) • court advocacy • on-site administration

  • group facilitation  • residential facility support  •  child care

       Because abuse does not discriminate, and to insure that our services are responsive to the needs of all individuals, we are actively recruiting volunteers who reflect the diversity of the Great Danbury community.  Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.

Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

We are a non-profit organization with a vision to end the violence against women, men and children, to foster equality and empowerment for all. We serve the needs of individuals and families in the Northern Fairfield and Southern Litchfield communities. We provide prevention, crisis intervention, and support services with regard to domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions. Our free and confidential services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We're here to talk about it.
