Participants will use textured contact papers, tape, string, wire, and found objects to build images in the August 9 Collograph print workshop, 1- 4 p.m. HealingNewtown, at the Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street, Newtown. These materials can be cut, shaped, layered, and then stuck to boards. After the collage is created, there will be two methods of printing variations of the image. A simple form of printing using found materials that are arranged in a collage form, this is perfect for beginners. The workshop will be led by Virginia Zimmerman and instructors from the Center for Contemporary Printing.
