Patrick Kearney and Kate Katcher, actors appearing courtesy of Actors Equity, will be featured in the Pulitzer Prize-winning "Doubt," at the Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street, Newtown. The play will be Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, September 11-20. All shows at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased at Queen Street Gifts & Treats, 3 Queen Street, or online at www.StrayKatsTheatreCompany.org.

"Set in the Bronx in 1964, it is structured as a clash of wills and generations between Sister Aloysius and Father Flynn," noted the review by Ben Brantley in the NY Times. "Even as 'Doubt' holds your conscious attention as an intelligently measured debate play, it sends off stealth charges that go deeper emotionally."

The play comes about through the cooperation of Ms. Katcher's Stray Kats Theater Company and Mr. Kearney's Third Eye Productions. "Stray Kats were on hold," Ms. Katcher noted. "Then Patrick called and I fell in love with the project." That was when Ms. Katcher's husband, Don Striano joined as director, a founding member of Stray Kats. The cast also includes Molly Garber (AEA candidate) and Denise Johnson, both from Norwalk.
