The Yale Whiffenpoofs at Edmond Town Hall on December 7 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm
The Yale Whiffenpoofs are America's oldest collegiate a cappella group and will take on Newtown's Edmond Town Hall stage on Thursday, December 7th. The group will perform a ninety-minute set with a few holiday carols throughout the night. A portion of funds raised will go to a local not-for-profit to be named.
Every year, 14 senior Yale students are selected to be in the Whiffenpoofs, the world's oldest and best known collegiate a cappella group. Founded in 1909, the “Whiffs” began as a senior quartet that met for weekly concerts at Mory’s Temple Bar, the famous Yale tavern. Today, the group has become one of Yale’s most celebrated traditions, with over a century of musical excellence.
