Rock & TV star Rick Springfield brings “Stripped Down” solo acoustic show to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Thursday, February 26

General Hospital fans know him as Dr. Noah Drake. Broadway fans know him for his role in Smokey Joe’s Café. Rock fans know him for “Jessie’s Girl”. Pam from WPLR’s “Chaz & AJ In The Morning” show will lead a Q&A after Rick’s concert so the audience can speak directly to him. Rick Springfield is a Renaissance man with so many skill sets -- TV star, musician, Broadway actor and New York Times Best-Selling Author, and will be center stage at The Ridgefield Playhouse with his “Stripped Down” solo acoustic show on Thursday, February 26, at 8 p.m. Springfield is an international star with album sales of 25 million including his Grammy Award-winning “Jessie’s Girl”, plus 17 Top 40 Hits including “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,”  “I've Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch”.  Springfield released Songs for the End of the World (2012), which is jam packed with personal lyrics and catchy hooks that demonstrate an evolution in this songwriter’s depth. Special guest is American songwriter Tad Kubler, best known for his work in The Hold Steady and a composer for film and television.  A Wild Turkey American Honey tasting courtesy of Campari America starts at 7:15 p.m. in the lobby. Springfield was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2014. His Playhouse concert is a chance to see a consummate artist in a live performance.
