The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to announce our first ever events in the great state of Connecticut! Hosting over 190 tournaments per year, the HJGT is the largest junior golf tour in the country. The HJGT is located in over 22 states and offers open events for boys and girls ages 11-18. Our juniors have the opportunity to play at some of the area’s finest country clubs against competition from all over the east coast.
The HJGT will be hosting the following tournaments throughout the state this summer.
The Harford Jr. Classic will be played at the picturesque Tower Ridge Country Club in Simsbury, CT on Saturday June 20-21st. The Registration deadline is June 10th and will be $199.00 for HJGT members and $244.00 for non-members.
Connecticut Summer Classic will take place July 18-19th on the white course of Tunxis Plantation Country Club in Farmington, CT. Registration deadline is July 8th and will be $189.00 for HJGT members and $234.00 for non-members.
The Major Championship at Wintonbury Hills will take place on August 29-30th at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, CT. Registration deadline is August 19th and will be $199.00 for HJGT members and $244.00 for non-members. Caddies are aloud at this event!
All of these events will have the following at stake
Top 3 finishers in each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 Mid-Season Invitational at Chateau Elan on June 20-22.
Winners in each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 National Championship December 5-6.
Top 10 finishers receive points towards year-end honors, which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup.
- About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of five age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 13-14, Boys 11-12, Girls 15-18, and Girls 11-14.
Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
