Violet Telep, 98, of Sandy Hook; passed away on June 30, 2015. She was the wife of the late Michael Telep.
Mrs. Telep was born in New York, NY on September 22, 1916; a daughter of the late John and Anna (DeStefano) Scognamiglio. She was a resident of Sandy Hook for the past 4 years since coming from Peekskill, NY. Mrs. Telep was a member of St. Ann’s Melkite Greek Catholic Church of Danbury.
Mrs. Telep is survived by her son, Dan Telep and his wife, Ellen; and by her daughter, Barbara Borrello and her husband, Nick. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Nicole Borrello and Michael Telep.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Telep was predeceased by a grandson Joseph Borrello.
The Rite of Burial will take place on Friday July 3, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Ann Melkite Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury with the Archimandrite Michael K. Skrocki officiating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery; Hawthorne, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation – Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory: 1 Bungtown Road; Cold Spring Harbor, NY 11724 or to the St. Ann’s Church Building Fund.
