Newtown Choral Society Sets Worldly Concert Date, Welcomes New Members

“If you love the holidays,” Mary Andreotta, director of the Newtown Choral Society said, “And you love to sing, you should be joining us for our fall concert.”

Set for December 13 at The Meeting House in Newtown, the concert will include music from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Africa and the USA. It will include “Christmas in Newtown,” written especially for the choir by Newtown resident Phil Crevier

Now in its 29th year, the Newtown Choral Society is a community chorus and welcomes members from all area towns and has openings in all voices. The choir performs two concerts a year and welcomes both novice and experienced singers. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at The Newtown Middle School and begin September 9. For more information on membership, call choir president Laura E. Leman at 203-426-3769 or e-mail her at lel-choirs3@se-ltd.com
