Newtown Parks & Rec offers Summer Lacrosse Camps for boys & girls - all ages!
SKYHAWKS LACROSSE
Boys Lacrosse Camp & Girls Lacrosse Camp - Lacrosse combines basic skills used in soccer, basketball, and hockey into one fast-paced game. Girls will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing and shooting in a fun-non checking environment. Participants must provide their own equipment, which includes: protective head gear (helmet), gloves and stick. Limited lacrosse kits available for rent (helmet, sticks and gloves) at www.skyhawks.com

LACROSSE CAMP
Players will learn and develop their technique in passing, catching, and scooping. Each day will end with small-sided games where coaches will encourage good sportsmanship and teamwork. Participants will develop an understanding of offensive and defensive plays, and will be encourages to implement these into a scrimmage.

Players will learn how to cradle, shoot, catch, and scoop. Throughout the program, participants will have fun developing their knowledge and understanding of scrimmaging in lacrosse.

NIGHTHAWK GIRLS LACROSSE CAMP
The camp will be run by Kristen Bulkley and former Newtown High School coach, Maura Fletcher in conjunction with current NHS players. Camp will run from 9-12 at Treadwell.
Please bring stick, goggles, mouth guard, snack and a good attitude!
Open to girls 2nd grade through incoming freshmen.
