Fingerstyle Guitar, Homegrown Tomatoes & More at Monroe Farmers' Market on Friday

"Home grown tomatoes, home grown tomatoes
What would life be like without homegrown tomatoes?
Only two things that money can't buy
That's true love and home grown tomatoes."

- Guy Clark

Our farmers bring several varieties of luscious, locally-grown tomatoes to the market. They're picked in the morning and in your hands the same day! Choose from hybrids, heirlooms, cherry, pear, plum, Roma and even a variety called "chocolate cherry". They are bursting with sweetness and Summer flavor -- come and get 'em!

This Week at the Market (Every Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm at the Town Green)

bringtheHoopla puts the fun back into fitness! Come hoop the afternoon away with them at the farmers' market and treat yourself to a shiny new, custom-designed, hand-made hoop! They offer enrichment classes and after school programming, adult fitness classes, children's hoop classes and birthday parties at their very own hoop shop opening soon in Shelton. Happy Hoopin'!

Representatives from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Connecticut will be at the market to collect your donations of "gently used" clothing and household goods. Help support a worthy cause that embraces the reduce, reuse and recycle philosophy.

Finger-style guitarist Glenn Roth returns to the market this week to entertain you while you browse the market and enjoy and afternoon on the Town Green.

This week's market is sponsored in part by The Creative Music Center of Monroe and Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home.
