Are You Up For A Challenge?

Monroe, are you up for a challenge?

MONROE, CT July 2, 2015 – The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is excited to open registration for the Monroe Amazing Challenge, a new and innovative town-wide race, to the public on August 29 from 1 to 4 p.m.

As the first of its kind to reach the community, The Monroe Amazing Challenge promises to bring puzzles, prizes, and an afternoon of fun for those looking to participate. The Monroe Amazing Challenge, hosted by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Victorinox Swiss Army, is a town-wide race where teams of two must complete physical and mental challenges at business and public locations to obtain clues for further locations. The identity of these locations is safe-guarded under lock-and-key, so racers must be quick on their wits to figure out where and how many clues are needed to obtain the grand prize.

The afternoon is guaranteed to lead racers throughout the town, where brain-bending, physical endurance and creative thinking challenges must be conquered in order to gain a cash prize of $250 and ultimate, town-wide bragging rights.

The event is open to any person up for the challenge, not simply Monroe residents. Racers must be at least 16 years old, as driving is required to move from one location to the next. One team member must be 18 or older. Proper forms of identification will be checked on the day of the race. Those interested can register online as a team of two for a $50 or as an individual racer for $30. Racers will be provided with complimentary Monroe Amazing Challenge t-shirts before the event. Those interested in participating can register online by visiting the Monroe Chamber website at www.monroectchamber.com or by calling Kim Snyder at 203-268-6518.

The Monroe Chamber of Commerce (www.monroectchamber.com) is dedicated to improving the economic environment and quality of life for Monroe businesses. It actively promotes the well-being of the professional community on behalf of its members through marketing, networking programs, community-sponsored events, and involvement in local economic development.
