Newtown honors & remembers victims of Sandy Hook tragedy on 5th anniversary

As we approach five years since the Sandy Hook tragedy, we wanted you to be aware of the plan this year to honor and remember the victims.

In a coordinated effort with the families of loss, the gallery in the Municipal Center will be the site of a photographic wall of remembrance this week.

A welcome message advises community and staff who pass through the hall of the Municipal Center to take a moment to be reflective, to recollect and remember in kindness and love those children and adults who died that day,

In addition, on December 14, all Municipal offices, departments, and agencies will be closed from 9:30-9:45 am for a brief period of silence and reflection in honor and remembrance.

We ask that you, too, join in this brief respite to honor those who were lost on that day.

Lastly, there will be an interfaith service at Trinity Church beginning at 7:00 pm and at St. Rose Church, beginning at 7:30 pm.

All are welcome to attend.
