The Perils of Pollinators at New Pond Farm on March 10

On Thursday, March 10, 7:30-8:30 pm join New Pond Farm (101 Marchant Road, Redding) to learn about the key ingredients for the perfect jar of honey: fields of blooming clover and goldenrod, sandy edges of babbling streams, sticky sap seeping from a broken twig, warm sunny days – and one happy, healthy hive of honey bees! Join our resident beekeeper, Ann Murray, to explore the many obstacles honey bees must overcome in their environment, and learn what beekeepers are doing to help our honey bees thrive. You’ll go home with a true appreciation of these amazing creatures, and a list of plants to consider adding to your garden to help make life a little easier for the honey bee!
