Western Connecticut Health Network Launches New Engagement Campaign - We Know You Well!

Not long ago, President and CEO John M. Murphy, MD, articulated a vision for the expanding Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) that has become a reality: to create a regional network that provides high-value healthcare to residents of Western Connecticut and nearby New York with patient health and wellness at the center. “We take care to put the patient at the center, and take pride in keeping people well, instead of just treating the sick. At WCHN, our patients are people first; we know them from our neighborhoods, schools and communities. Those connections are what make us unique and allow us to humanize their healthcare in a very personal way,” said Dr. Murphy.

Acknowledging this new vision, Western Connecticut Health Network announces a new branding campaign that is centered on personalized care without compromise. Under the new WCHN brand tagline of We Know You Well, the campaign personalizes the healthcare experience and dialogue in a way that is relatable, placing the patient at the center of everything they do.

This campaign drives our work in many new and exciting ways,” said John M. Murphy, MD, President and CEO of the Western Connecticut Health Network. “At WCHN we are committed to inspiring a healthier and happier community with programs designed to not only treat disease, but to also prevent it through education, screenings and healthy living. Beyond our walls we have an extensive network of aligned physicians and healthcare professionals working in tandem to ensure an exceptional and holistic experience for consumers at every touch point.”

A vision is now a hope-filled reality

The We Know You Well campaign provides an opportunity for the Network to strengthen collective and individual roles as advocates for the health and wellness of area residents. “The new campaign reflects our focus on providing the most personalized care experience. It’s about getting to know the patient both personally and clinically so we can tailor care to their needs, through every phase of their life, regardless of their circumstances. Because We Know You Well, we can look ahead to what our patients may need in the future and be ready to serve those needs by continuing to invest in talent, science, technology and infrastructure that will improve their lives,” shared Dr. Murphy.

Beyond the advertising campaign itself, WCHN has developed an entirely new unified brand identity including a new logo that symbolizes our outstanding capabilities as a network coming together to meet the unique needs of the people we serve.

It’s more than just a new logo and tagline

“We Know You Well “is much more than a tagline,” said Robert Carr, MD, a longtime Primary Care physician and a member of one of the state’s largest primary and specialty care physician networks, the Western Connecticut Medical Group (WCMG). “It’s the very foundation of our culture focused on preventive and primary care.” As part of this work, Dr. Carr is spearheading nationally-recognized care coordination models promoting proactive health discussions and primary care interaction. Complemented by the latest technology, new patient portals allow patient’s easy access to medical records and test results for the most comprehensive look at their health portfolio.

Norwalk Hospital’s Community Relations Director, Maura Romaine, shared, “I’ve worked for the hospital for many years organizing health education and outreach, so I clearly see the benefit of early engagement. I am excited that this campaign highlights the importance of engaging our consumers more fully, helping them realize their healthiest path, and also their care options when needed. This will clearly lead to better, healthier lives and I am proud to be a part of this work.”
