Stray Kittens Summer Theatre Workshop for Kids

NEWTOWN, CT  - The Stray Kittens Summer Acting Workshop for kids ages 9-14 will return to Newtown this July 10-27 at Fraser Woods Montessori School.

Stray Kittens is a three-week program of theatre games, improvisation, tongue twisters and basic movement for youngsters who love to perform but don’t want to compete for roles in a big production. At Stray Kittens, everyone works, or plays, all the time.

“We don’t believe in stars; we believe in inclusion,” says Kate Katcher, Artistic Director of the not-for-profit Stray Kats Theatre Company and Director of the program. “Kids are inherently talented. They just need a chance to express themselves.Through theatre games, and improvs, vocal and physical exercise, kids get to renew their sense of play while exploring the tools an actor needs to communicate.

The program will culminate in a performance for family and friends.

The Stray Kittens program will run from July 10nd through July 28th, Monday –Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Fraser Woods Montessori School, 173 South Main Street, Newtown, CT.

Tuition is $600 when paid by May 1, 2017. ($625 if paid on line by credit card). After May 1, tuition is $700 ($725 if paid on line by credit card).
