On Thursday, January 11 the Winsted Fire Department Explorers Post 911 is hosting a Bowling & Recruitment Night at Laurel Bowling Lanes on Main Street in Winsted from 6 to 9 p.m. The fee is $4 per game, $2 shoe rental;
Explorer Post 911 is a program affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America that teaches young adults between the ages of 14 and 18 the basic skills to prepare them to become future firefighters. These basic skills include working with tools, scuba, ropes, ladders, hose streams and other job related activities.
