The American Cancer Society has joined forces with Stand Up To Cancer to broadcast a one-hour fundraising event on TV, airing on ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC along with other 26 broadcast and cable networks on Friday, September 5 at 7 pm. The Naugatuck Valley Relay For Life branch was chosen to host the broadcast. Representing the Valley will be Jason Carlucci and Kristen Ostrowski.
In celebration, a viewing party will take place at Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Avenue in Fairfield.
Locals are encouraged to take part and register for the viewing party. Those interested have until August 15 to do so. For a $25 fee, attendants will get free Stand Up To Cancer T-shirts, Luminaria, snacks, and drinks.
