Volunteers are needed for the 3rd Annual Stamford Hospital Health Wellness & Sports Expo 2014 which takes place September 20 and 21 at Chelsea Piers Connecticut, 1 Blachley Road in Stamford. Volunteer assignments include setup, assisting with parking and breakdown. Hours are Friday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. for setup, and Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for parking assistance and 4 p.m. for breakdown.
There is also a need for assistance in setting up the doggy day care for Pet Wellness Day which is scheduled for Saturday. Volunteers are needed for fence setup on Thursday, September 18 and for breakdown on Monday, September 22. All volunteers will receive an expo t-shirt.
The expo, which features free health screenings by Stamford Hospital and a variety of exhibitors, also collects food and donations for the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.
