American Red Cross Helps Local Residents After Fire

The American Red Cross is helping 11 people – nine adults and two children in five families – with emergency needs after a fire Wednesday on Bouton Street in Norwalk.

  • A family of two adults received help with housing, food and clothing needs.
  • A family of three adults and two children received help with food and clothing needs.
  • Six adults and two children in three families received help with food and clothing needs.
  • One adult received help with clothing needs.
  • Red Cross volunteers Paul Keagan, Angela McCabe and Mike Vincelli responded to assist the families.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
