As we begin the season of giving, I was sent a note about a heartbreaking story about a 10 year old boy who needs our help.
Andrew Shah is battling Leukemia and his parents insurance company recently denied coverage for cancer treatment medications that he had already received - leaving the family with a $21,000 medical bill that they do not have the funds to cover. We cannot remove the burden of Andrew's cancer, but we can lift the burden of this bill.
Andrew is a wonderfully bright little boy who has seen more of the cancer treatment center than any child ever should. In his free time, he enjoys reading, spending time with his siblings, and playing Wii Mario.
