SUPPORT THE LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF THE NORWALK PUBLIC LIBRARY
On April 17, we host our first fundraiser for Literacy Volunteers at the Norwalk Inn. The fundraiser will take place from 5:30 to 8:00 with hors d’oeuvres and keynote speaker Marilyn B. Kendrix.
As one of the authors of “The Justice Imperative," Ms. Kendrix, will discuss the importance of keeping students in school. She will also discuss the facts and consequences of mass incarceration in America from the perspective of a bipartisan coalition of Connecticut business people, correctional professionals, legislators, judges, law enforcement professionals, lawyers, clergy and academics.
