Knitting in Nature: New Canaan Library presents All Ages Outdoor Knit-a Thon

What's more fun and cozier than a gathering of knitters outdoors on a crisp fall day? Join Stitch It! at New Canaan Library on Saturday, October 10 at 1 PM for a session, à la The Gilmore Girls, of fast-talking, fast-knitting magic at the Library's own Knit-a-thon. Participants will be doing good work while having fun, as they create simple scarves to benefit a local charity.

All knitters and crocheters are welcome to bring their own yarn and projects, but the Library will provide basic yarn, needles, and hooks for anyone who wants to donate their stitching skills to a good cause.  Seasonal refreshments will be served!

This event will take place picnic-style in Christine's Garden (directly across from the municipal parking lot at Park and Maple Street) from 1 - 5 PM.  In case of inclement weather, the knit-a-thon will be held indoors in the Adrian Lamb Room.

This is a drop-in event and open to the public-- no registration required!

For additional information on this event please contact the Library at 203-594-5003, or visit newcanaanlibrary.org
