Join Rockwell Art and Framing, 236 Post Road East, Westport, tonight, April 27th from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. for the opening night of Wilhelmina de Haas' multidimensional art exhibit "WONDERLUST". Refreshments will be served.
Wilhelmina is an artist heavily influenced by Dali, and fellow Dutchmen, Hieronymus Bosch and Van Gogh. She started out with photography and then transitioned to digital collage. The last few years she has been creating acrylic works on canvas experimenting with different styles - abstractionism, surrealism, impressionism, and realism.
She describes her style as eclectic, eccentric and electric, romantic, and thought-provoking. Most of her digital art pieces have hidden symbolism and meaning. She likes the viewer to think about what’s really going on. Her artwork is meant to inspire and create excitement and wonderment.
In addition to creating art, Wilhelmina is a graphic artist for a marketing research company in Norwalk, CT. She is a writer having written for regional magazines, dabbles in poetry, and has written a children’s book.
We also welcome you to view the exhibit during Gallery hours: Tues-Fri 10-5:30, Sat 10-5.
Exhibit will be viewable April 27, 2017 - July 20, 2017.
