Pirates Are Coming to Sheffield Island Lighthouse!

Ahoy Matey! Pirates will be landing on Sheffield Island, welcoming guests who visit the island and historic lighthouse on July 26, 27; as well as Aug. 2, 3. Visitors will encounter pirate re-enactors who will dazzle them with story-telling, sea chanteys, sword fighting and cannon fire demonstrations, among other pirate-like traditions.

The Pirate Weekend activities are free with the a purchase of round-trip ferry tickets to Sheffield Island. Tickets to the island are $22.00 for adults, $12.00 for children ages 4-12 and $5.00 for children age 3 and under, plus applicable service charge. The Norwalk Seaport Association ferry to Sheffield Island departs on Pirate Weekends at 11:00am, 2:00pm and 3:30pm from the Sheffield Island dock, adjacent to the Stroffolino Bridge, at the corner of Washington and Water Streets in South Norwalk.
