The Connecticut Playmakers Present Rodgers and Hart’s "Sing For Your Supper"

The Connecticut Playmakers are presenting the best of Rodgers and Hart’s Broadway songs in a fully-staged musical review Sing for Your Supper, playing at the First Congregational Church in Old Greenwich, CT through October 26.

Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart wrote over 500 songs for 26 Broadway musicals. In 1926 they had five musicals running on Broadway simultaneously. Now 21 performers sing and dance their way through over 40 of the best of Rodgers and Hart’s classics, including Johnny One Note, Sing for your Supper, Blue Moon, Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, Where or When, and The Lady is a Tramp, and the quirky, comedic To Keep My Love Alive.

Director Donna McLaughlin Wyant, who has produced shows featuring Tony Bennett, Donna Summer, Natalie Cole and the Irish Tenors, is an Emmy and Clio-award-winning producer says, "This show brings the best of Broadway to Connecticut for what you’d pay to park you car for a couple hours in Manhattan.“

Co-Producer, Peggi de la Cruz says, “We are fortunate to have some world-class talent available for the limited run of our show. Berlin-trained Meistersinger Patric Hale has recorded 25 CDs in seven languages, is a winner of New York City’s Mario Lanza Competition, and has performed at European music festivals to audiences of over 5,000 people.  Westport native and soprano Lucia Palmieri had her sold-out solo debut in Carnegie Hall in 2006, has performed with the New York City Grand Opera, and has been featured in shows on Bravo and ESPN.” According to de la Cruz, “After you see these performers and 19 other enchanting singers and dancers, plus the band led by Chris Coogan, we know that you will leave with great memories and a song in your heart.”
