Painter and local Darienite, Maria-Esther Magallanes, will be exhibiting her artwork at the Darien Rowayton Bank starting Monday, November 3, 2014.
The public is invited to attend an artist's reception with Maria-Esther on Thursday, November 6, from 4:30 - 6 PM at Darien Rowayton Bank, 1001 Post Road.
María-Esther Magallanes was born in Mexico City and has resided in New England since the early 2000’s. Mexico’s cultural, architectural natural and geographic diversity provided María-Esther with plenty of inspiration to experiment with color and forms, as well as a fertile ground to begin showcasing her creations in art galleries and art fairs. Her style has enabled her to portrait New England’s icons such as lighthouses and boats in a very peculiar and colorful way. Her work decorates the homes of many art collectors throughout Mexico, the United States and Europe.
