Bartlett Arboretum hosts “Ramblin” Dan Stevens on July 5

The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens will host “Ramblin” Dan Stevens, on Sunday, July 5th  at 5:00 pm for the Summer Pop “Music at the Bart” concert.  The cost is $5 for Members and $10 for non-members. Children under 12 are free.

Currently based on the Connecticut shoreline, "Ramblin" Dan Stevens performs an eclectic mix of traditional fingerstyle blues, popular songs and originals and has entertained audiences throughout the United States, Europe, the U.K and throughout the Americas. His unique style of "bottleneck" slide playing popularized by early Mississippi delta bluesmen includes his use of homemade primitive blues instruments, a three stringed "Cigar Box Guitar" and a one stringed "Diddly Bow" is a huge draw for true blues fans. “Ramblin” Dan was a finalist in the International Blues Challenge 2008 on Beale St. in Memphis and protégé of the legendary Dave Van Ronk.   A participant in the Music Under New York Program, he plays on a regular basis in the New York City Subway System in locations such as Times Square and Grand Central Terminal. 

Bring the whole family, a picnic and enjoy the beautiful Music at the Bart Summer Concert Series.  Concert takes place rain (indoors) or shine (in the garden).
