Get Creative at New Canaan Library's new Saturday series: “Handmade Crafternoons”

New Canaan Library is happy to introduce a new, crafts oriented series called “Handmade Crafternoons,” held the first Saturday of each month at 1pm. This program is geared toward anyone interested in all things handmade, including book arts and letterpress printing, traditional crafts and the new DIY, vintage-inspired design. The Library will share information on unique items from its collections and help participants to create beautiful, funky projects for the curious crafter in all. The projects are designed for adults and teens ages 12 and up; please register online. All materials will be provided.

Classic Book Papercrafts starts the series off on Saturday, September 5, 2015. This project re-uses book pages from worn-out classic books to give them new life as bookmarks, paper sculptures and more.
