Fairfield Theatre Company Climbs To New Heights With Screening of Meru Apart of Adventure Film Series

The Fairfield Theatre Company and the Outdoor Sports Center team up to present a night of incredible film as they screen the Sundance award winning documentary film Meru apart of their Adventure Film Series on Tuesday, September 15th at 7:30pm.

Meru introduces audiences to the incredible story of three renowned climbers who navigate nature’s harshest elements, their own complicated inner demons and gear up to try to ascend Mount Meru, the most technically complicated and dangerous peak in the Himalayas. The three men suit up and dive into the high-stakes pursuit of big-wall climbing as they attempt to claim the ultimate prize sitting 21,000 feet above the sacred Ganges River in Northern India and try to become the first ever to climb the hardest peak, the shark’s fin.

Watch as these three men persevere as their seven-day trip quickly devolves into a 20-day odyssey, stacked with inhuman obstacles including sub-zero temperatures, waning food rations and horrible nightmares of the unimaginable, yet find the courage to still continue to press on to answer the irresistible calling to scale the world's toughest peak.

Join the Fairfield Theatre Company and the Outdoor Sports Center of Wilton as they screen this incredible journey of conquest and honor as they attempt the impossible and explore new heights and dreams.
