Prizes Galore at the Rowayton Arts Center

IT’S PRIZES GALORE AT THE ROWAYTON ARTS CENTER’S NEXT EXHIBIT

The exhibition with the most prizes, “Community Sponsored Awards,” opens at the Rowayton Arts Center on Sunday, May 1. The judge, Clare Rogan (Ph.D., Brown University) is curator of the Davison Art Center at Wesleyan University. The Community Sponsored Awards exhibition is one of RAC’s most exciting because of the community support. Winners in every category will be awarded a cash prize. The reception on Sunday, May 1, 4-6 pm is free and open to the public.  Winners of the exhibit will be announced at the reception.

The exhibition features art in any media, on any theme, and will continue until May 29.  Artwork is available for purchase.  The chairperson is Marcia Powell and co-chair is Phyliss Padro.

For almost 60 years, the Rowayton Arts Center has been a cultural gem in the community. It is an exceptional gallery where regional artists may exhibit and sell their art as well as a wonderful venue for art workshops and classes. The RAC Art School offers classes to children and adults at all levels. The RAC Gallery and Art School are located on the bank of the scenic Five Mile River in Rowayton, CT at 145 Rowayton Avenue. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday: 12pm-5pm, Sunday, 1pm-4pm.
