RNVA Presents “Mental Illness: Communication Techniques”

Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is organizing a Motivational Monday’s informative talk on Monday, June 6th on the subject of “Mental Illness: Communication Techniques” at the Darien Senior Center in Darien. April Rodriquez, RVNA Community Health & Wellness Nurse, will be the speaker. We often avoid discussing mental health because of fear, stigma and simply not knowing what to say. But this may make matters worse. Support from friends, family and health professionals plays a big role in your loved one’s recovery process. Join us to learn how to talk about this uncomfortable topic while respecting privacy and showing empathy. This event, which will take place on Monday, June 6, from 11am to Noon, is open to the public. Attendees should RSVP to Darien Senior Center at 203-655-1705. Darien Senior Center is located at 2 Renshaw Road in Darien.
