Live Birds of Prey at Greenwich Point on October 2

On Sunday, October 2, "Birds of Prey, Live!" is the theme of the Fred Elser First Sunday Science at the Seaside Center program from 1:30 to 4:00 pm at Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich.Visitors can get up close to live hawks and owls from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., when staff from New Canaan Nature Center will discuss adaptations, behavior, ecological importance and natural history of birds of prey. Throughout the afternoon, representatives from Audubon Greenwich will talk about what makes Greenwich Point an "Important Bird Area" and how to participate in the fall hawk watch in backcountry Greenwich. Event sponsors Friends of Greenwich Point and Bruce Museum will offer additional family activities celebrating the fall bird migration.

The free program is held in the Innis Arden Cottage and no registration required. For complimentary entry to Greenwich Point Park, visitors should advise the guard that they are attending the First Sunday Science event.
