KIds Coding Classes: Scratch Games

Brain Boost presents a two part course held at Pequot Library on Thursdays, March 30 and April 6 for ages 6 - 8. Learn how to code with Scratch, one of the most popular coding tools for kids! Scratch is designed to help students with little to no coding experience dive headfirst into programming.

Kids will learn how to design their own Tic-Tac-Toe game and art projects with “Spiralizer.” Coding helps kids develop problem solving skills and resilience as they face new challenges head on and learn to embrace making mistakes and how to learn from them.

No prior experience is necessary; just bring yourself and a laptop or tablet computer! Free and open to children ages 6 - 8., but registration is required. To register, please call the Children's Department at (203) 259-0346 ext. 16.

A limited number of computers are available to borrow during class time. Please indicate during registration if you would like to borrow a computer.

Please visit www.pequotlibrary.org to learn more about this vibrant library, educational, arts and cultural institution. All classes and programs are open to everyone.
