The Power of Song: Music on the Hill Concert

Music on the Hill opens its fall season this Sunday, October 15, with an uplifting concert of the Festival Chorus with artistic directors David H. Connell and Ellen Dickinson.

"The Power of Song" includes stylistically diverse selections, from English madrigals to Sweet Honey In The Rock, featuring works by Aaron Copland and Randall Thompson as well as newer works. Among them: contemporary composer Craig Carnahan's "Armistice 1918," his setting of the Siegfried Sassoon poem "Everyone Sang" written at the conclusion of WWI.

This concert will move and inspire -- join Music on the Hill and celebrate the power of song!

The concert begins at 3 p.m. at the Unitarian Church in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door; students are free. Order tickets online at musiconthehillCT.org
