Did Hollywood save the best big budget blockbuster for last? With part two of "The Hobbit" trilogy set to hit theaters, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," it is very possible.
The sequel continues J.R.R. Tolkien's classic book on the big screen and follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, and 13 dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield as they run into everything Middle Earth throws at them on their quest to reclaim the Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from Smaug the dragon.
Verdict: Let's do this! I have been waiting for "The Hobbit" sequel since the first film ended. I'll even dare to go as far as to say I like it better than "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. "The Hobbit" is funny, dark, visually stunning, and packs a great story and enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat.
