HamletHub Adds Madison, CT to Its Roster of Hyperlocal News Sites

Madison, CT. [August 14, 2014] – HamletHub.com a pioneering network of 'hyperlocal' websites providing locally originated news and information to communities has launched its newest hyperlocal site for the Madison, CT area, the company announced today.

With a full roster of sites covering most of Fairfield County Connecticut, and Westchester County New York, HamletHub has added Madison, CT to its roster of hyperlocal news sites, and is proud to announce that Madison resident, Lisa McAllister, has agreed to become the editor.

"We are thrilled to welcome our neighbors in the vibrant Connecticut community of Madison to HamletHub," said Kerry Anne Ducey, the company's founder and president. "There are so many great people and businesses in the Madison community who deserve to have their very own forum to share neighborhood news, stories, ideas, events and best business practices. Lisa will help make Madison a better place." Ducey adds.

HamletHub launched the first local news "Hub" in Ridgefield in 2009 with a mission to make the world better, one HamletHub at a time. HamletHub won a prestigious Connecticut Press Club Award in 2012, 2013 and took home 6 awards in 2014 including "Best Website".

Hamlethub sites differ from other media outlets based on their focus on the needs of the community — its residents as well as the organizations and businesses that make up the fabric of the town. Madison HamletHub offers a unique opportunity for these groups to have a voice in their community, either by submitting articles to the site as a local resident, or by participating in the site's unique Article Membership service for businesses, giving them an unprecedented opportunity to tell their story and to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.

McAllister has been a resident of Madison since 1998, when she and her family moved to the Shoreline. She and her husband have a daughter who attended Madison Public Schools, and graduated from Daniel Hand High School. Lisa is Assistant Children's Librarian at the Scranton Memorial Library, where she has shared her love of books with dozens of the brightest and sweetest children imaginable. As a HamletHub editor, she looks forward to keeping her Madison neighbors up to date on the latest happenings around town.

Readers, contributors and advertisers will benefit from a direct line to their neighbors, and the organizations, who are the heart of the community that make Madison a cultural gem.
