The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT) will lead a panel discussion about zero emission vehicles and the hydrogen refueling infrastructure vital to support energy-efficient fuel cell electric vehicles at the Northeast Passenger Transportation Association (NEPTA) Conference and Expo on March 26 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
Panel experts include representatives from Proton Onsite of Wallingford, New Haven Transit District of Hamden, and US Hybrid of South Windsor. Alex Barton, energy specialist, CCAT, will serve as moderator and will discuss the Northeast Electrochemical Energy Storage Cluster’s efforts to develop a regional hydrogen deployment plan, which underlies growth in this sector. “Fuel cell technology provides a zero emission solution to meet our transportation needs. The three-day NEPTA biennial transportation event runs March 24-26 and attracts nearly 400 public and private transportation leaders; transit providers throughout New England; state and federal funding agencies; and businesses that serve the passenger transportation community. Key speakers at the conference include leaders from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), CT Commissioner of Transportation James Redeker, MetroHartford Alliance President Oz Griebel as well as transportation experts from around the region.
