Norwalk Fire Department and Human Services Council Partner for Holiday Toy Drive

Beginning on Friday, November 27th and ending on December 22, residents can bring new and unwrapped toys/gifts to any of the five Fire stations in the City. This is the second year the Norwalk Fire Department and HSC have worked together on the Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the HSC- Children’s Bank program.

  •          Station 1: 90 New Canaan Ave
  •          Station 2 (Fire Headquarters): 121 Connecticut Ave
  •          Station 3: 56 Van Zant St
  •          Station 4: 180 Westport Ave
  •          Station 5: 23 Meadow St.

Through their Children’s Bank Gift Drive, the Human Services Council fills approximately 3,000 individual holiday wishes collected for the children they serve. These children have been abused, neglected and/or are at-risk, many of whom live in foster care or group homes and are struggling with frightening and unclear futures. For many of these children, this is the only gift they will receive. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, approximately 150 new children will enter the child protective system. Toy Drives like this; help ensure that these children will also receive a present.

For questions about the Toy Drive, please contact Michele DeLuca at the Norwalk Fire Department at 203-854-0238 or mdeluca@norwalkct.org.
