Winners Announced at Rowayton Arts Center

ROWAYTON ARTS CENTER ANNOUNCES WINNERS FOR “BEYOND BRUSHWORK” EXHIBITION

“ENOUGH!” a pen and ink drawing by Dan Long of Westport, won Best in Show at the opening reception for “Beyond Brushwork” at the Rowayton Arts Center. Anne Salthouse of Norwalk was awarded the Gail Parsons Memorial Award for Mixed Media for her 1st place winner with gold leaf, “Andalusian.” The exhibition runs through February 21.  Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday: 12-5pm, Sunday: 1-4 pm. The juror for the exhibition was Dr. Arianne Fabor Kolb, an art historian and curator of old master and contemporary art. She was formerly co-director of the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan and a curator at the J.Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.

For over 50 years, the Rowayton Arts Center has been a cultural gem in the community. It is an exceptional gallery where regional artists may exhibit and sell their art as well as a wonderful venue for art workshops and classes. The Art School offers classes to children and adults at all levels.
