Liberation Programs Receives Three Year Accreditation from CARF International

Liberation Programs, one of Fairfield County’s leading behavioral health organizations specializing in treatment for substance abuse, has been awarded its fifth three-year accreditation for residential, outpatient and intensive outpatient programs from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International).

A letter from CARF President, Brian Boon, PhD, states, “This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of conformance to standards.” Mr. Boon continued, “Your organization should take pride in achieving this high level of accreditation.”  Alan Mathis, Liberation Programs’ President and CEO acknowledged, “We are proud to have achieved the incredibly high standards set by CARF and to have demonstrated our commitment to being among the best available. Our goal is to help our Recoverees lead better lives and we want that to come across in everything we do.”

Liberation Programs served 2,087 people last year, achieving recovery outcomes that are above the state averages for comparable treatment programs. “We take great pride in delivering with excellence a wide array of quality services that help families from Greenwich to Bridgeport,” said Dr. Patti Juliana, the organization’s Chief Program Officer, “and CARF accreditation validates our work.” Eighty percent of Liberation’s Outpatient Recoverees left the program substance free – 28% higher than the CT state average.
