Norwalk Parking Authority Offers Holiday Discount Special Offer When Using Pay-By Cell Option

Holiday shoppers in the South Norwalk and Wall Street areas will have a little more spending money this season. During the month of December, the Norwalk Parking Authority is offering a holiday discount of $2 off their parking session at any on-street parking meter or lot pay station when using their mobile app to pay for parking.

When paying with the Parkmobile app, people should use the promo code Norwalk Rocks. The offer is valid from December 1 through 31st for a one-time use only.

“The Parking Authority wants to encourage people to come down to Norwalk’s urban areas and do shop, dine and enjoy themselves during the holiday season,” says Authority Chairman Dick Brescia. “Shopping in December can be stressful. Our hope is to make our customers’ parking experience less so by offering them a simple, seamless way to pay for parking – with the added bonus of savings!” The free smart phone app by Parkmobile USA, Inc. saves time and provides a convenience to parkers by using their mobile phone to pay for parking at any Norwalk Parking Authority meter or pay station.

The Parkmobile app is easy to use and even notifies users 15 minutes before their parking time is ending, allowing them to increase their time remotely without running back to their vehicles. Parkers can download the app via most smart phones app stores. The Norwalk Parking Authority is a financially self-sustaining organization responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipal parking system in Norwalk. It is not financed by taxpayer dollars. The Authority is committed to making Norwalk a better place to live, work and visit by collaborating with community organizations while providing exceptional customer service to parking customers.
