Norwalk Health Dept Offers Affordable School Physicals for Children

Norwalk public school students will return to classes soon, and students entering kindergarten, sixth, or ninth grades must get a physical exam before school starts. If you have insurance and a regular health care provider, contact your child’s doctor now to schedule an appointment for a school physical. If you have trouble finding an affordable, timely option elsewhere, the Norwalk Health Department is offering affordable school physicals on August 28 and 29, between 1 pm and 4 pm. Examinations include all necessary screening tests, laboratory tests, and vaccines.

Call the Health Department for more information or to make an appointment at (203) 854-7776. Appointments are limited, and priority is given to Norwalk residents. Please note that appointments are reserved for physicals required for school entry, not sports physicals.

In addition to school physicals, childhood immunizations are available upon request for children of all ages.
